Letonjev slap Traditional Cache

V soteski Penk pred naseljem Gorenje (pod kmetijo Letonja) najdemo izredno lepe slapove. Desni pritok Pake je na svoji poti izdolbel slikovito sotesko s slapovito, 8 m visoko stopnjo. Za obisk slapa priporočam, da obujete gumijaste škornje. Količina vode in slikovitost slapa je večja v deževnih obdobjih in takrat, ko se topi sneg. Pozimi se spremeni v leden steber.

In the Penk Gorge, just underneath the Letonje farm, we can find an exceptionally beautiful waterfall. The right affluent of the Paka River carved a picturesque gorge, crowned with an 8-metre waterfall.

The waterfall is at its most beautiful after a rainy period or after the snow melts, because the flow is at its strongest. However, this is also the time when the surrounding area can get quite wet. This is why we recommend wearing rubber boots when you visit the waterfall. In the winter, the waterfall freezes and turns into an icy column.
