Marky1981: Been to visit the area today. As mentioned the sign has gone and it looks like the cache has too. As I don’t work in the area anymore I’ve decided to archive it. Thanks to all who visited!

Geocache Description:

A multicache focusing on the Park Hill flats redevelopment

The Park Hill flats are large brutalism-styled blocks of flats near Sheffield city centre. Built from 1957 and opened in 1961, they were of groundbreaking architecture advertised as 'streets in the sky' with decks wide enough for milk floats. Popular and successful at first, they became to be physically and socially problematic over time. They have come to be regarded as an eyesore by many in modern times.

Grade-II* listed in 1998, they were the largest listed buildings in Europe. In the 2010s, a redevelopment company has begun upgrading and modernising the buildings starting from the shell and adding colourful panels allowing for new apartments and commecial properties.

Originally to find the cache, you would have needed to see the iconic graffiti at the listed coordinates, which read "I love you will U marry me". This had been illuminated with neon lights. There is a story behind it (see https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-55998485)

Unfortunately the graffiti has now been removed, so please go to the sign waypoint to solve:

N 53 22.ABC W 001 27.DEF where

  • A = How many items are listed in the key?
  • B = At the bottom of the sign, how many letters are in the word between 'Sheffield' and 'Station'?
  • C = What's the first digit in the caption under the picture in 'Residents of a court'?
  • D = What's the third digit in the caption under the picture "Chidren playing, Park Hill Flats'?
  • E = What's the last digit in the caption under the picture 'Residents on Walkway, Park Hill Flats'?
  • F = "This allows the flats to vary from 13 to F stories as they rise up the hillside."

Note the cache is not in any walls.
