Geocache Description:

There are not many places at ground zero to hide a cache, so it has to work very hard to stay hidden from muggles. Please be gentle with the homemade container and take a moment to be sure it is secure before you leave. You can claim a "bonus smiley" if you find the cache while waiting to board the Alaska Railroad!

The area below the cache is the cargo hub of Alaska -- the Alaska Railroad close by, and behind that is the Port of Anchorage. An estimated 90% of the merchandise goods for 85% of Alaska’s populated areas pass through the Port of Anchorage, travelling on train through the "Alaska Railbelt", or by truck on the small "Alaska Road System". There are no railroad connections to Alaska from Canada or the Lower 48 States, and the only road connection, the Alaska Highway, goes through Canada and is not used much to carry cargo.
