STORIA
Nel 1608 iniziava la costruzione dell'edificio attuale su sollecito del vescovo di Crema. Al completamento del nuovo tempio fu demolita la precedente chiesa, lasciando in piedi il solo campanile, abbattuto nel 1730 dopo la costruzione della nuova torre campanaria. Nei decenni successivi si provvedeva alla decorazione interna chiamando, tra l'altro, uno dei più illustri artisti cremaschi del Seicento, Gian Giacomo Barbelli.
Il campanile era dotato di due campane fuse dai Crespi nel 1756, requisite per scopi bellici nel 1942 e sostituite da due nuovi bronzi nel 1949 fusi dalla ditta Dadda di Crema.
Interventi importanti, soprattutto col fine di limitare l'umidità, furono intrapresi nel 1969 cui seguì un primo, parziale restauro degli affreschi.
Ma dopo ancora molti anni di degrado, nel 1999 veniva concluso un complesso restauro operato dalla famiglia Novali che ha riportato il ciclo allo splendore primitivo
ARCHITETTURA
La facciata è a capanna, caratterizzata da un zoccolo e da due paraste laterali. Il portale ha una semplice cornice e l'unico elemento decorativo è una trabeazione. Un'ulteriore cornice riquadra la monofora superiore, affiancata da due finestre cieche ai lati e da una terza posta sopra.
A differenza della chiesa -intonacata- il campanile è in mattone a vista, suddiviso in riquadri con lesene angolari e fascia orizzontale. Una cornice in aggetto divide la canna dalla torre campanaria con lesene agli angoli che sostengono una trabeazione liscia. Le aperture sono a tutto sesto. Il coronamento finale è composto da un corpo esagonale con cupoletta in rame e croce apicale. L'interno è a navata unica a due campate con trabeazione a vista ed è totalmente affrescato.
LA FESTA
In estate, nel periodo di ferragosto, nello spiazzo accanto alla chiesetta viene organizzata la Festa di S. Ippolito. I fondi raccolti vengono devoluti ad opere di beneficenza. Di particolare richiamo la marcia di Sant'Ippolito, una camminata podistica non competitiva.

HISTORY
In 1608 the construction of the present building began on the request of the bishop of Crema. After the new temple was built, the old church was demolished, leaving only the bell tower. It was demolished in 1730 after the construction of the actual bell tower.
In the following decades one of the most illustrious artists of the seventeenth century in the Crema area, Gian Giacomo Barbelli, together with othe minor artists, was called to work on the interior decoration.
The bell tower initially had two bells cast by Crespi in 1756; but they were requisitioned for war purposes in 1942 and replaced by two new bronze bells cast in 1949 by Dadda from Crema.
Some important interventions were done in 1969 in order to limit moisture effects; then followed a first, partial restoration of the frescoes.
After many years of decay, in 1999 a complex restoration work from Novali family was concluded: they gave the cycle its original shining beauty.
ARCHITECTURE
The gabled façade is characterized by a base and two lateral pilasters. The portal has a simple frame and the only decorative element is an entablature. A further frame encases the upper lancet window, flanked by two blind windows on the sides and by a third one above.
While the church is plastered, the bell tower it is in brickwork, divided into squares with corner pilasters and horizontal band. A frame divides the barrel from the bell tower with pilasters at the corners supporting a smooth entablature. The windows are round-arched. The final culmination is composed of a hexagonal body with a little copper dome and an apical cross.
The interior has an only nave with two bays with entablature exposed and it's totally frescoed.
THE PARTY
On summer, in the August period, in the open space next to the church they organize the S. Ippolito party. The funds raised are donated to charities. They also organize the St. Ippolito march, a non-competitive track walk.
