Custom made cache. Watch out for dog walkers,and Costa drinkers. It can get very overgrown in summer.
After swimming lessons at the hotel, the kids and me used to walk this path home. I think it is slightly longer this way so we called it the Long Short Cut. Along the path we cross The Cran Brook, a tributary of the River Blythe which gives its name to the Cranmore area of Shirley. Rising somewhere near Our Lady of the Wayside church on Stratford Road, Shirley.One of Solihull's 'lost' streams like the Streetsbrook, the remaining visible section runs through public open space leading into Hillfield Park.
