Hull Street Station was built in 1915 and served train passengers until 1957. Richmond has a long history of railroad importance and the Hull Street Station has its own place within that history. The Richmond Railroad Museum now resides in the original building just across the street from this cache. While I could easily provided a nice dissertation on the interesting history of Hull Street Station and its related importance to Virginia railroads, I'll leave that, instead, to the pros across the street at the museum http://www.richmondrailroadmuseum.org . If you are interested in a quick history lesson before coming to this cache, then check out this quick video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MiC-xOwijc Cache could be a quick park-n-grab, but I highly recommend spending some time to visit the museum if you're at all interested in trains, or even enjoy a nice stroll down the Floodwall and neighboring trails for some great views of the James River and downtown Richmond....not to mention a few other caches in the area. BYOP. Congrats to npglenn on FTF!!!
