The Journey:
The area where this cache dwells is not really as perilous as the title suggests, in fact it is quite scenic and serene. Depending on your approach to this cache however, the journey can be quite perilous. It is also not advisable to attempt entering this location after heavy rainfall.
Starting at one of the waypoints provided you will be able to follow formal and semi-formal tracks to within a few metres of the cache. Be patient and follow the tracks rather than the GPS pointer as some deviations off track may indeed prove perilous.
There are mosquitos in this area, so I recommend wearing appropriate protection.
The Cache:
Whilst the actual cache container holding the log sheet is small in size, the outer camo is quite large and should be relatively easy to find. Some thinking is then required to retrieve the cache proper. No additonal tools or aids are required to retrieve the cache. The cache will provide all the tools you need to access the log. You will only require your hands.
There is quite heavy tree cover in this area so obtaining a GPS fix might be tricky.
Please ensure cache is reinserted securely when replacing.
