Geocache Description:

The long-awaited Interstate 580 express lane system has finally come to the Livermore Valley, offering commuters an option to get through heavy congestion for a fee during peak hours. In the eastbound direction there will be two express lane and in the westbound 1 express lane. Enjoy this new facility as it opens this weekend for full service! From the cache location you can see several of the new overhead readers, cameras, signs and other equipment necessary for the system all while safely looking for the cache on a frontage road. Special highlight -- I actually got a visit from the CHP while placing this cache late at night in the dark. Seems they thought a stopped vehicle might be a drunk driver, which of course in this case it was not, so all went well.
