The Upper Pithlachascotee River Preserve is a beautiful little preserve which is also known as the Cotee River Preserve, as shown on the park signs directing you to the park, on State Road 52. The roads leading into the park are in poor condition (Orange Dr, and Minneola Dr.), the park is located at the end of Minneola Dr. (Right turn at the row of mail boxes).
The boardwalk has been built 10' above the ground to allow vegetation to grow, and wildlife, to pass underneath. The boardwalk takes you through a beautiful winding path through subtropical wetland that makes you feel as though you are not in Pasco County anymore.
I want to thank Christina Esposito, and her staff, of the Pasco County, Land Use Management office, for their assistance, and for providing this wonderful bit of Pasco County.
Happy Hunting!
