East Geelong

East Geelong is a residential suburb of Geelong. The post office opened on 6^th of June 1921 but there was an earlier known post office dating from 1871 which was later renamed Moolap West.

East Geelong is also home to the 81 hectare Eastern Park, which is Geelong’s premier regional park and Geelong’s Botanic Gardens are located at its centre.

It also holds one of Geelong’s larger cemeteries (which includes the heritage listed ‘Eastern Cemetery Gatehouse’), the Limeburners Point Lime Kiln Complex and the Australian Animal Health Laboratory.
