4th Plague of Egypt - Flies Traditional Cache

The Fourth Plague of Egypt: Flies (עָרוֹב): Ex. 8:20–32

8:20-21 "Let my people go, so that they may worship me. If you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies upon you and your officials, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies, and even the ground where they are."

This is the fourth of ten caches placed in or around Wausau area. There are cache series in the area for the Seven Dwarves, the Packers, the Wizard of Oz - why not Plagues?

This cache will take you to a short but pretty hiking/biking trail that cuts between Hwy 29 and the business along Rib Mountain Drive. It is scenic, though noisy. Nevertheless, I have never walked this trail without seeing deer, so keep your eyes open.

The closest parking area is noted in the waypoints, but since there are several caches along this path, you may want to park at one end and take the entire trail. The North end is located at roughly N 44 55.574, W 89 39.599. The south end ducks under the highway at N 44 54.865, W 89 39.129, and comes out into the residential area to the west, where there are many places to park.
