Birds of War 1916 Multi-Cache
alienchauncey: I’m letting this one go. There just isn’t much activity in this area other than urban campers trashing the place. I might do something else here one day.

Message from: Commander John D. Liverman BEF
I have an important and very dangerous mission for you Private! The French commander in this sector reports that one of his men shot down a German carrier pigion. We believe that it was carrying coordinates to the location of one of the enemy's secret ammo caches. Your mission is to get through no-mans-land, retrieve the message it was carrying and find the Germans ammo supplies. Our company translator fell victim to a recent gas attack so you're going to have to do the best you can with the message. There might be a medal in it for you if you secceed Private! Good luck!
This cache is dedicated to those that fought and died in World War I. 100 years ago europe and many other places around the world was plunged into one of the biggest and bloodiest conflicts the world has ever known. Over 9 million combatants and 7 Million civilians died as a result.
Homing pigeons were used extensively in WWI by both sides as a means of relaying information and battle plans. This cache is also dedicated to those brave birds of war.
