My Children visit here most weekends as their grandparents live jusy around the corner. The area is fairly sparse in terms of caches and they decided to try and do something about it.
This little park, which now shows up on the map as Crofton park, has always been known to us as Coppers Lake although this technically just refers to the small lake in the park. You may notice that, while there is a stream flowing into the lake there is not one flowwing back out. This is because the overflow goes underground through a culvert which reappears a few hundred yards away, the other side of the housing estate. A few years ago, after heavy rain, the culvert backed up so badly that water erupted from the middle of the field and flooded dozens of houses as it took it's natural course. The park is heavily used by dog walkers to please be on the lookout for muggles as you make your way around.
GPS co-ordinates have been averaged as best as possible but were jumping around a little due to being under trees. Please be uderstanding if a little out. Cache is a 35mm film canister.
