Worms Wood is a 40 acre site that was planted by The Woodland Trust on council land to celebrate the millenium. The wood stretches between Larksfield playing field on the Felpham and Middleton boundary to the A259 Worms lane. The Woodland Trust launched the project as part of a nationwide intitive to plant mainly native trees for the start of this century. The woods include Oak, Ash, Maple, Birch and Cherry trees, there is also a grassy pathway that runs through the woods and if you explore the area you will also find a small pond providing further habitats for local animals.
You are looking for a small clip lock box that has been disguised to fit the area, the box contains a logbook, small pencil and some small swaps to keep the geokids happy. This box is big enough for a small trackable. Please note that we placed this in February 2016 and the pathways were very muddy so don't forget your wellies. This area is very popular with dog walkers so take care and watch out.
