Geocache Description:

First of all, please don't pass on this cache because of the "stages and scary math..."  It's easy to do, and you can find it within 10-15 minutes of starting. Plus it's a cool container!

This cache has limited hours of availability. The approxiamate hours are 10:00am - 8:00pm Monday - Thursday; 10:00am - 5:00pm on Friday; 10:00pm - 3:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. These hours can change occasionally throughout the year, and with the holidays.

The coordinates above will get you to a good place to start your quest. There are ample places to park nearby! Do not search for a geocache, you will not find one!

Your task is to complete, and interpret your "Final Coordinates" from the following clues:

ABC.DE FGH

To Find "A"

Stand at the listed coordinates, and look to the right of the front door, and you will see a flagpole. Count the total number of letters of the first name, last name, and middle initial for person to whom the flagpole was dedicated. Subtract 2 to find value of "A". Some people hit a wall when looking for this information. Record as "A".

To Find "C"

Next, walk through the main doors of the library and you will see a 'Tree of Donors' on your right. Look for the leaf engraved with "Republican Club of Roxbury" and note the year. Use the last digit of the year that is engraved on the leaf to find value "C". Record as "C".

To Find "D"

From here, you'll need to walk through the second set of doors, and turn right. You will see the circulation desk. Continue past the circulation desk and you will see a bank of computers on your left. Go towards the computers and look behind you. On the wall you will see a hand-painted mural hanging there. On the yellow ribbon, you will see multiple words. How times does the "tablet" appear? Then search and count the number of folded newspapers you see on this same mural. Add these 2 values together to find value "D". Record as "D".

To Find "E"

Continue gazing at the hand-painted mural to find your next clue. Simply search for and count the number of bulls found on the mural to find the value of "E". Record as "E".

To Find "F, G, & H"

Now turn left and head towards the front of the library, and look for the "Quiet Room".

The 6th letter in the last name of the person to whom the Quiet Room is dedicated to, is the value "F"

The 4th letter in the first name of the person to whom the Quiet Room is dedicated to, is the value "G"

Look into the center of the Quiet Room to see a mobile full the single letter you need for value "H"

To Find "B"

Just to the right of the entrance to the Quiet Room, you will see a wood cabinet dedicated to the United State Armed Forces. This cabinet was placed in storage but it has finally been placed back out into the library! Find the blue Veterans of Foreign Wars cap and find the 4-digit embroidered post number. Find the sum of the first 2 numbers on the cap when added together. Then add the last 2 numbers on the cap together. Subtract the sum of the last 2 numbers from the sum of the first 2 numbers to find value "B". Record as "B".

As a couple of favors:

+ Please be inconspicuous while signing the log, you might want to try moving the container or keeping it closed while in the view of muggles

+ Be quiet. I know it can be exciting to find a cache, but no shouting of joy, please!

+Please limit trade items to small trackables and coins

+Please place it back in the exact spot it should be (you'll know what that means)

+If you have any questions, go to the Reference Desk

+Good luck and happy hunting!

Congratulations to Pokey for the FTF. I'm glad you really like this geocache!
