Kusatsu-san Kousenji-temple which is near Yubatake is established in 721. Gyouki-bosatsu discovered Kusatsu Spa and it is said that he himself carved a Yakushi-nyoraizou and enshrined. Though this temple has been called Yakushidou at that time, when Yoritomo Minamoto had Kusatsu spa in 1193, the name of the temple was changed Kousenji-temple. The cache is hidden near Houkyouin-tou. It may be difficult to find it when snowing.
湯畑に隣接する草津山光泉寺の創建は養老５年（７２１）、行基菩薩が草津温泉を発見した際、自ら薬師如来像を彫り込み安置したのが始まりと伝えられています。当初は薬師堂と呼ばれてきましたが、建久４年（１１９３）に源頼朝が入湯の際、光泉寺と寺号を改称されました。
キャッシュは境内の宝篋印塔の近くに隠しました。 積雪時の捜索は厳しいかも。
