Geocache Description:

Twelth in a series of geocaches that are, in one way or another, unfortunate.

Note: the cache is not at the posted coordinates.  To find the cache you'll need to follow the instructions below.

These are the caches no one cares about.  Perhaps they're hidden in an area that gets few visitors, and are condemned to a life of few finds, and even fewer favorite points.  Perhaps their camouflage doesn't quite blend in.  Or perhaps they are hidden in a spot that gets high muggle activity and where other caches have suffered an untimely end.

We've had this "official geoacache" for so long that we forgot we had it!  That was unfortunate.  Fortunately, it recently resurfaced and we've hidden it not too far from the posted coordinates.

This really is a rather nice caching container.  It contains an official "Rite as Rain" logbook, a pencil and some swag.  We've included a stamp of our own, and please use your stamp in the logbook if you have one.

To find the cache, start at the posted coordinates, and continue up the trail.  Your starting point should look like this:

As you continue up the trail, you should come to a large flat boulder.:

Continue along the trail until you spot a crossroads up ahead:

Continue to the crossroads itself.

Here you will have three choices as to which direction to continue.  The left fork is not a good choice.  The right fork will take you further into the San Marcos preserve, but not any closer to the cache. Best bet is to continue up the trail, for about one tenth of mile more.

As you head the trail, be on the lookout for the rocks depicted below.  You should see them to the side of the trail at the following coordinates: N 034 27.766 W 119 46.010. The cache is right there, by the rock caught in the "V" formed by the other two rocks.
