Albert was born in the 1920's in Tobacco Road, Peckham, he joined the Royal Navy in 1937 and was two years later called to action following the outbreak of the second world war. He won 7 medals and sank 7 times in a period of 4 years.
Infact Albert spent most of his time stationed in a storage depot on the Ilse of Wight.
