This particular spot is a family favorite and we often have to fight off other nature nuts to grab the optimal view. We dash for the park rangers bench if it is free.
Across the river is a rocky outcrop (Laager) that has been known to show off the Kruger Park lions. The famous Kruger Tree-Lions sometimes wonder across to this side, so if you are lucky you will see them. There are also perfect leopard trees in plain view so watch the shadows.
Sadly this section of the Crocodile river dropped very low during the mid-summer drought at the end of 2015 which had a large impact on the crocodile and hippo populations. Equally, this section of river has had it's fair share of flooding right over the Marloth fence.
