This used to be my elementary school and so dear to my heart! Now it serves the county school offices (SCOE). I grew up on a little street named Chestnut Street, not too far from this site. It was the local school in a group of schools named for trees in the Redding School District. I attended first through 5th grades here and will always remember the cement steps, playground and, for some reason, safety patrol crossing across Placer Street.
Lately I have been haunted by bugs, mainly black widow spiders! Looking for a well hidden bug. You may need to have someone tall!
