Parking can be found at the nearby golf club or sports centre. Drivers leave their cars at their own risk - I hold no responsibility for their safety or contents. You can expect to take about an hour to complete the walk and return.
At the first location you are looking for a camoflaged container. Within the container is a small puzzle which gives you the start location for the actual night walk. There are a couple of available routes to that point, so it's down to your own orienteering skills to arrive at the start.
Once at the start point given, shine your torch around (some logical thinking at this point) and you are looking for reflective dots at the start of the trail. From here on you are looking for and following reflective studs on trees. The route will take you on rough ground and tracks and may involve stepping over fallen trees and water filled trenches. The route is NOT suitable for wheelchair users or push buggies. Wellies are strongly recommended, especially after spells of rain.
Though there is no livestock along the route taken, dogs should still be kept under control. You can expect to hear movement in tree canopies which I think makes for that extra sense of spooky.
As this is a night cache, you will need a very good torch (not the £1 thing I had). The dots reflect WHITE though at times are quite well spaced apart and you may have to 'follow your instincts'. The final location is marked by a cross of stud markers. The guardian is close by.
On completion of the multi, you can either follow the well defined track back to the start, or use the waypoints given to get the bonus cache GC6C0DT.
