"Big Five Safari" is a series of caches named after African animals, with the final goal of finding the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Elephant and Rhinoceros). There are 50 caches in the series, 45 traditional and 5 mystery. Clues for the five mystery caches (the Big Five), are hidden amongst the series. Of course, the Lion (King of beasts), is the hardest to find....You will need to find the four other Big Five first...
The 45 traditional caches are all micros or small L&L and for the most part, are winter friendly and easy to find. The Big Five are regular caches. No need to cross any fences, and the majority of the caches are park and grab!
It is the most colorful Hartebeest, with black markings contrasting against its white abdomen and behind. It has a longer face that other subspecies, with complex curving horns joined at the base. Hartebeests have an excellent sense of hearing and smell, although their sense of sight is poor. When alarmed, hartebeests elude confusion before running, by which they can reach a maximum speed of 55 km/h. Their evasion tactic is to run in a zigzag pattern, making it difficult for predators to catch them. See related web page.
Good Luck and Enjoy your Safari!!!!
P.S. Caution should be taken in approaching any of these animals. Be careful with the terrain at all times....
Congratulations to Ninja Fairies for the FTF!!!!
