~Winter-friendly cache~
This is a State Park so fees/sticker applies.
The main gate is closed in winter
There is WINTER/PRAIRIE parking at N43 59.782 W89 49.039

This is a virtual cache with an enjoyable hike along the trail.

This cache, as all other Roche-A-Cri caches that I have done, is with the permission of Ranger Dave. Did you know that Roche A Cri was the first State Park that was granted geocaching permissions in the State way back in July 2002?... it was because of Ranger Dave Hladilek understanding how I felt of the sport.. that he gave me permissions.. and the trust that he gave me as well. Before that.. all geocachers hid caches within state parks without asking.. because they thought they'd just say "NO".. So.. historically.. Ranger Dave Hladilek is important to the history of geocaching in Wisconsin Sate Parks.. I hope he takes pride in the fact that he wasn't afraid to try something new.. It is our loss to see him transferring to another park...
