For anyone new to geocaching, we recommend that you sign up for a free geocaching membership at www.geocaching.com before arriving at the event. This will enable you to find geocaches on the day of the event. As well, you should download to your smartphone one of the following geocaching apps. Geocaching (by Groundspeak Inc) - most iphone users download this one and it also works on Android. C:GEO - many Android users like this one. With these two tasks accomplished ahead of time we can start finding caches near the event venue more efficiently.
