Geocache Description:

Congratulations to wendykmj for being the FTF my first cache.

A nice simple puzzle with an easy to find 'camouflaged' container with easy parking nearby.

It's surprising how many people think you can only go sailing on the sea. This cache will take you near to Burghfield Sailing Club where members can sail all year round in the disused gravel pit.  The lake has over 200 acres of sailable water and lies along the beautiful Kennet Valley and is home to many different species of birds. It is easy to park nearby so it could be done as a cache and dash but why not park up and go for a stroll round the lake and watch the sailing or do a bit of 'twitching'!

The cache is obviously not at the co-ordinates shown (or you'd be getting very wet!!) but is within half a mile - on dry land!

OK, before I set this puzzle for you our granddaughter wants to tell you about her new puppy which she is mad about so wants to tell everybody!:-

Hello, my name is Maddie, I live in the north of England and I am five years old, and I have one older sister who has gone to university to get some degrees or something. Last week me and my mummy went to see two puppies that were about five miles from our home, I wanted to see some more but my mummy said there was no point in driving any further or we wouldn't be home in time for tea at six o'clock. The mummy dog had four puppies but some had already been sold so me and my mummy picked the cutest one that was left, it didn't take many minutes because I think it is the cutest of them all anyway. I'm glad we didn't drive any further because I've now got the cutest, loveliest puppy in the world!

As soon as we got home I phoned my sister at her university, which is a long way away, somewhere in the west country I think, to tell here all about my new puppy. She asked me what I was going to call it and I said I hadn't decided yet. She suggested 'Zero' – I thought it was a silly name and asked her why. She said it was very cold this morning and she heard the weather forecaster say it was between zero and one degree, and she just liked the word. I thought that was a stupid reason but the more I thought about it the better it sounded, so Zero it is, that's such a cool name! It also reminds me of my lovely sister, who I only see about every four months and I might even get an extra point for having a unique name when I enter her in Crufts. Then I took her round to see one of my friends who thought she was fantastic and gave her a “Welcome to your new puppy” card, she actually got five of those - but eat three of them within minutes of receiving them!.

Anyway, I must go now but I might be able to tell you more about my new puppy next time my granddad wants to set a geocache puzzle.

Well there you go, looks like Maddie has unwittingly set the puzzle herself!

All you've got to do now is find it – happy hunting.
