#1 - Maricopa Trail West Traditional Cache

This series is placed on Arizona Trust Land and will require a permit available on the [Arizona State Land Department's website] (visit link) in order to geocache here. Permits for individuals are $15 and families $20 for a year.
 

This is a short easy trail for hikers or mountain bikers. No difficult hides, they are just out here to introduce you to a relatively new section of the Maricopoa Trail. Level terrain, easy walking or biking.

The first few are along a flood contol canal then follow the MT to the west across the desert.

You will see NO TRESPASSING signs near the parking area but just go around the mound of dirt to the south and you will be on the Maricopa Trail. The trail actually crosses the road behind the sign about 50' or so down the road.
