As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

A small cache box which is easily accessible to all. (For the FTF there is a small memento and TB.)  

Look out for the milestone embedded in the opposite garden wall. It is one of many to be found on the island and it marks the distance from what the locals call 'The Town Church' in St Peter Port. As you travel around the island see if you can spot some more - there are at least another 25.

This site had been a popular local vegetable stall in the past, but the owners abandoned it due to too many thefts. ☹️  If you walk 100 m up the road opposite, you will see the overgrown remains of the old Tomato Museum which was set up after the decline of the Guernsey tomato industry. The old steam boiler In the 'car park' was used to produce steam to sterilize soil in Guernsey greenhouses..
