Pint Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

2ndwitch: Having now returned to a computer and therefore being able to type and update, with regret I have decided to archive this cache.
It was one of my favourite hides, as the ground allowed a natural hiding spot with naturally occurring camouflage. Sadly someone has damaged the location quite badly, and then possibly tried to 'hide' the cache again by piling stones on the spot. The stones were totally out of keeping with the location and drew the eye immediately to the hiding place. Not surprisingly the cache has vanished.
It has to have been taken on purpose - it was clearly marked and was not a container that would appeal for other uses really, and although I searched the surroundings extensively I could not find it just thrown away.
I cannot reinstate the location, so the cache goes.

Geocache Description:

A cache that is the first, or last, in the extension to the series at Firkin Point.

A pint is the unit of measurement for beer that is most well known. It is familiar to anyone who has ever propped up a bar!

There is a lovely walk, heading both north and south from the carpark at Firkin Point. And the name 'firkin' just kinda begged for a series of caches. There are a range of sizes of container, from large enough for travel bugs and larger swaps to a couple of micros! The discerning 'cacher will no doubt consider adding GCTP26 to their itenerary alongside this series, seeing as it sits nicely in the middle!
