Route
Keep following New Street Hill and then take the footpath on the left, which is opposite Oak Tree Gardens. With the golf course railings on your left, follow the path through the woods and you will approach some allotments.
Description
Halls Farm Allotments occupies a piece of land adjacent to the Bromley North to Grove Park shuttle line and has been an allotment site since the second world war. This is one of just over 50 allotment sites in Bromley and offers around 90 plots rented anually for growing fruit, vegetables and flowers. I don't know any more about the history, but presumably this was farmland in Victorian times.
