Geocache Description:

A cache originally placed for the Mad March Meet VIII on 5th March 2016

A multi cache based on 3 local trig points

At first I was going to require a simple visit to each trig point to obtain the flush plate number, which would give you the numbers you need for the final cache. However I soon realised that this information was readily available on the internet and even on some GPS's. While most would visit the trig pints in question, a minority would I am sure be armchair cachers just visiting the final cache. Then we discovered the Flush Plate had been stolen at Trig Point number 3 anyway !!!

Therefore at all trig pints you will be given a task, which will involve walking on a bearing a given  distance, to collect a further number, from a given item. On the 3rd Trig Point you will still require to visit the Trig Point, but no answer will be needed, just complete the task by using this Trig Point as the start point for this part of the multi.

It is suggested you do the trig point in the order they are presented, as the cache is nearer to the 3rd trig point than the other two

The flush bracket is the rectangular metal plate attached near to the base of the trig point. The Flush Plate is attached on one side only. It has the words O S. then below that B M and at the bottom of the plate the Flush Plate number which is S followed by 4 numbers. You will require one of these numbers to make up the final co-ordinate from each bracket. E.G. If the number is S1234, My question may be missing number is A, Flush Bracket  S123A, therefore A=4.

You will then be given a task to find an additional number. So for each Trig Point you should have 2 numbers, one from  the missing Flush Bracket Number, and one from the task you are given at each Trig Point, again the exception been Trig Point 3 where just the task answer is required

It is not really practical to do this multi walking. You can drive to Trig Point 2, but the other two will require a short(ish) walk. Not suitable for pushchairs etc. but suitable to take younger walking cachers along.

At all the trig points there are other Geocaches close by.

1st Trigpoint is at N53 51 265    W001 40 034

Trig Pint Number S38A5

From the trig point walk Heading 269 for  0.14 miles  you are looking for a gate into the wooded area

B= the number of Vertical (Upright) wooden pieces on the gate

2nd Trig point is at N53 51 725   W001 39 906

You can read the Flush Bracket Number over the wall, just be aware of the barb wire.

Trig Point Number S18C8

From the trig point walk Heading 146 for 152 feet. You will find yourself behind a barrier in the corner of the wall. Look into the compound. A Telegraph Pole has a 5 digit number referring to a "water container"

The Number is 4845D

3rd Trigpoint is at   N 53 53 611   W 001 39 612

As previously mentioned somebody has pinched the flush bracket, so nothing to find.

However you now need the final clue, so from this Trig Point walk heading 107 for 228 feet.  Here you will find a notice referring to the wood. The year on this is 19E7

So now you need to walk to the final which is at (Substitute The Numbers you have collected for the letters)

N 53 5D   (Dx2) (D-C) E     W 001 3(E+D) (B-C) (E+D-C)) A
