Searching for this geocache will bring you to Kristin Jacobs Natural Area. The park's stated hours of operation are "Sunup to Sundown". This is a really easily navigated park area with paved nature trails. There is ample parking, public restrooms, gazebos and benches along the paved trails and information stations that can be scanned with your smart phone. Scanning these bring up short videos with really interesting points about the flora and fauna around you.
This hide is kid-friendly and is stocked with lots of swag. It's a nice stroll from the small park office just a few yards west of the parking lot. Near ground zero is a great gazebo with benches. Sit, rest, be still and listen to the sounds of nature around you and watch for the many different types of butterflies in the area! Hide is north of the "beaten path" and is just a yard or so off it. Please recover the hide as you found it. BYOP.
Now for the confusing part...not finding ground zero...but for being FTF. Fellow Geocachermizsunshine found this hide, signed the log as FTF and dropped off a travel bug all before it got published. Special powers she has, I think! mizsunshine will remain FTF but since the hide was not published yet; now there is a chance that she can be FTF twice or you can be 2nd FTF / co-FTF as I moved the container a little ways away to help insure the park naturalist would ok the hide! Confused now?? Congrats to dantheman1107 for being the (second) FTF!!
