The Catholic chapel, dedicated to Our Lady the Help of Christians and St. Oswald, situated in Upper Brook street, was erected in 1890, and is an edifice of stone in the Early English style, consisting of chancel and nave, and has sittings for about 230 persons: the presbytery, attached to the chancel, is of red brick, and there is also a convent and elementary school, forming a separate block, all erected at the expense of T. Longueville esq.
