Introduction
This is a series of 16 caches placed along a circular walk. This walk starts off on pavement but then goes onto public footpaths and bridleways, and for a few small segments it runs along minor roads. There is also the possibility of taking in a number of other caches along the route. Caches are traditional with not that much effort required.
Due to the terrain it is not suitable for pushchairs - unless it is very dry and even then there are a couple of stiles that will need to be traversed. This walk is suitable for dogs although some fields will require dogs to be on leads.
The entire route is 5 miles and can be walked in about 2.5 hours; however with caching time it will take longer. I would allow 3.5 hours to be safe! Please be aware, particularly in the winter, this walk can get very muddy.
There is a pub at the start (and finish) of the route along with a couple of shops; there is also a pub approximately half way around.
Cache 06
Fron cache 5 keep walking along the road over the railway bridge and to to the end of the road use the gate to enter the field - next to the cottage (N51° 42.585 E0° 10.639). There is a sign about Bull in field – I have never seen any cattle in this field. Follow track and then left hand edge of field.
Directions to Next Cache
At bottom of the steps turn left and head towards the woods.
