Cache is located down Bethel Road at the dead end. A short hike through the woods will be required but not hard.
The GPS coordinates are located at the forked tree in the picture. From the sign in the picture (listed as the starting point) look SSE (160 degrees) and you will find an unusual stone object that stands out among all the others. If the name 'Byrd' is on the object then you've found the right one. Remember what the object is as this will be a later CLUE.
From here, go 145 degrees (SE) to the far corner (best place to start) by the woods. Look directly into the woods and you will see a burned tree. (Update 9/20/03 -- The burned tree fell down on the ground but walking straight into the woods will take you where you can see the forked tree). Walk to this tree going South. Once there you will look for the forked tree (GPS coordinates) and go to it. Now, remember the clue you found at the start. Look North and you will see one of the same down on the ground. Check out the base !!! There may be more than one! Going straight to the cache using your GPS might prove to be more difficult than following the clues. I would not recommend this cache after dark or during bad weather. Have fun and good luck !

After finding the cache you might want to wander around this historic area. Once a year, a large Civil War reenactment is put on here. The area also is just off a major Indian trail.
