Geocache Description:

This is the 5th cache in the "Science of..." series.  It's just a hop, skip, and a jump from the flowline. Please tell me in your log how long it took you to find the cache after arriving on scene (optional).

This cache was originally placed to show teach some SAR members how to use a GPS receiver while taking part in a fun hike in the area.  It appeared to be far enough away from other caches that I decided to open it up to the public.  The cache contains some items that SAR people sometimes carry in case they end up spending a night in the bush unintentionally.  It was originally called "Moist Elk" after someone with a funny, elk-related nickname (long story) got soaked while participating on one of these hikes.
