Geocache Description:

Once the home of Beacon's American Legion chapter, now host of local bingo nights, zumba classes, and 2-cent penny socials. And for the first time, geocache sleuthers!

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness.

The World War Veterans Memorial Building was completed in 1924 and dedicated on Memorial Day of that year to the soldiers who served in the Great War (WWI).

The Beacon Bingo Night was discovered by SirNuda on the fated evening of February 26, 2016, memorialized the following day (with rep292) by this monumental geocache.
