Meet a tree, view the water, play with the kids.
A popular park. Although I have not watched a sunset here, it should be a good view. I have seen the Blue Angel's Air Show from this area. Bring a lunch and enjoy the peace on a non-tourist day.
West coordinates have been all over the place, so this is an average. It is out of heavy play traffic. Although it may be tempting to park on the road, go around to the parking lot. Walk a couple of hundred feet?

Note: Dogs are allowed in the park, but not on the beach is my interpretation of the sign. West end beach around Division is a beach where dogs are allowed.
I do not know if baths are open in winter.
