If you are doing this as part of the series, we recommend that you follow the blue arrow route, heading uphill from the car park, making Beechroot the first cache done in this series. The loop follows woodland trails, forest tracks and roadways in Galty Castle Woods, crossing the Funshion and the Attychraan Rivers with fine views of the countryside and spectacular views of the Galtee Mountains opening up as you travel.
The GPS may not be the most accurate due to tree coverage but the cache name should solve this problem. This path is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs and can get very mucky.
The cache is a small tupperware box.
