Geocache Description:

Knobstone Trail Cache #3 By Indy Diver

This cache is located on the Knobstone Trail  south and east of the Leota Trail Head. Park here N38 38.497 W85 53.271 which is the location of the Leota Trail Head. Take the New Chapel leg of the trail. The hike is about 1 mile. When you come to the campfire ring go straight ahead do not cross the stream bed. Wait until the last minute before leaving the side trail.

The Cache Container is a full sized Ammo Box with the Geocaching green label on the outside.

The cache has an General Theme so what ever you wish to place in the cache is fine. (Except Food Items of any kind)

To find the trail head from the north take hwy 56 from 31 or I65 west to Bloomington Trl. and turn South East. There are 3 roads at this intersection so be sure that you take Bloomington Trl. Go to the Leota covered bridge and make an oblique right on Leota road. Do not cross the bridge! You will then go to Saylor Rd and turn right. There are two sign posts: one bearing "N Salem/Finley KB" & "Saylor Rd" signs and another with "Leota Rd" & County Line Rd". At the base of this second signpost you will see a familiar brown Knobstone Trail marker post. Turn right here and go to the trailhead sign and turn right.

If coming from the south take hwy 160 to New Salem Rd. and turn north. When you will come to the second road on the right then turn right. This road is still New Salem Road. When you get to Saylor road turn left. There are two sign posts: one bearing "N Salem/Finley KB" & "Saylor Rd" signs and another with "Leota Rd" & County Line Rd". At the base of this second signpost you will see a familiar brown Knobstone Trail marker post. Turn left here. The trailhead will be on the right just a short way.

Have fun and enjoy
