Oh, the harbour lights will be gleamin',
As the Leap Day will soon be dark;
And Cache the Bayman! is dreaming,
Cachin' dreams up at Pippy Park.
And the mist is slowly drifting,
As the shorefront lights go dim;
And the moon is gently liftin',
As his ship's headin' to a geocaching event.
Where all the cachers got a story,
Some are true, hope none are false;
But they're always wrecked and they're up on the decks,
And dancin' the St John's Waltz.
And we've had our share of DNFs,
We've seen caches come and go;
We've seen battles rage on the FTF and multi-stages,
For a decade now or more.
For the glory of a new smiley,
On your geocaching map;
Or for FTF fame, as the log holds the names,
Of the cachers who were successful.
All the nine-to-fives survive the day,
With a sigh and a dose of salts;
And now they're parkin' their cars at Mount Scio Place,
And strollin' to the St John's Waltz.
Oh, my heart is on the highway,
And I'm goin' to "Leap for Tea";
The girls are totally stoked,
To meet geocachers, like me
So all the wayward join together,
And left anonymity out on the road;
Couldn't find Kelsey today, but that's quite ok,
Maybe we'll get it on our way home ;)
So scale the roadside and enjoy,
This cache at darkness - just watch your step;
In a world of romance, don't miss out on the chance,
And come find the St John's Waltz.
