Cooper Marsh Biodiversity This cache was implemented as part of the River Institute’s (Cornwall, ON) initiative to address the lack of information on species occurrence, diversity and population abundance in the St. Lawrence River watershed. The Cooper Marsh Conservation Area is one of the most significant wetlands in all of Ontario, and is home to a wide variety of birds, frogs, toads, turtles and fish. Cooper Marsh is hence an important location contributing to the St. Lawrence River watershed’s biodiversity. Participants of all ages coming to the Cooper Marsh with the River Institute during camps and educational programs contribute in documenting all kinds of species while hiking the trails. Feel free to note any species that you see.
