Geocache Description:

This multi-geocache is located at Garnett Park in Hypoluxo. Like other nearby caches it commemorates the Barefoot Mailman, this one is different in that YOU are the Barefoot Mailman! It is a 2 stage cache and you will need to answer some simple field questions found at the park to get to the final stage.

In 1886 Andrew Garnett (for whom this park is named) was appointed the 1st postmaster of the Hypoluxo post office, Hypoluxo is the home town of the famous Barefoot Mailman. Besides being postmaster, Garnett was also a Barefoot Mailman but not the most famous one; he took over the route in 1893 after the death of James Hamilton . To reach the final location for this cache you must solve the following formula when you get to the starting coordinates:
N 26 34.ABC W 080 03.DEF

A= At stepping stone 1, what day does it indicate when you are in Delray Beach?

B= At stepping stone 2, add the day you are in Fort Lauderdale to the day you are in Miami.

C= At stepping stone 3, what day is it that you are continuing the walk crossing beach sand dunes?

D= At stepping stone 4, how many Barefoot Mailmen died while crossing the Hillsboro Inlet?

E= At stepping Stone 5, subtract 2 from the number of miles walked that day.

F= At stepping stone 6, How many Barefoot Mailmen made the journey (not counting yourself)?
