Haad Saeng Chan Beach

Haad Saeng Chan Beach is only 7 kilometres from Rayong Town, and is connected with Haad Laem Charoen Beach. On Haad Saeng Chan Beach you can sunbathing and it's a good beach for swimming too.

The Beach is very popular with locals who visit the many delicious local seafood restaurants, and offers many luxurious hotels and residences with beautiful views of the beach and stunning white sandy coastline. Had Saeng Chan Beach Road offers many great restaurants and also many street food-vendors with their 3-wheeled motorbikes, with the adjoining fishing village and beach of Had Laem Charoen also offering numerous seafood restaurants.

Saeng Chan Beach is a series of man-made lagoon-type harbours, rather than a long stretch of uninterrupted sand. The small bays are there to offer protection against erosion of the long beach, and also to give protection to the small flotilla of fishing boats that are to be found working from this area.

Saeng Chan Beach is part of a trio of joined beaches that stretch for 11km along the bay. To the west is the industrious Haad Laem Charoen, to the east Haad Suchada, beyond which is Haad Sai Thong and then the Asian Industrial Estate.  Map Pa Tut is visible on the distant horizon and its presence does little to deter visitors to this charming area. The Saeng Chan beach is around 5 – 6 km long at most.

There is little in the way of the normal beach facilities, and the other side of the beach road is mainly wasteland, with some seafood restaurant.

The sandy coves are of soft white sand. They are protected from the general flotsam and jetsam by the generous size of the rocky walls that provide the shelter for the whole of this beach. Generally, it is find yourself a bay, and relax.
