Not far from Montague Provincial Park is Southwind Drive – a narrow rural lane with some of the largest Old growth trees we’ve found on the island.
The cache is hidden beside a giant Douglas Fir tree. These trees can live up to 1000 years old, their thick, ridged bark protecting them from forest fires.
The cache is a grab n go, and depending where you park, its an easy 5 or 10 minute walk.
The road is single lane, so park near the mail boxes at the end or in the pull out for Beach Access #23
