Landsbyen Feldballe er kåret som Årets Landsby 2016.
En række initiativer fra borgere og foreninger har sat Feldballe på landkortet. Borgerne har blandt andet oprettet en friskole efter lukning af byens folkeskole. Derudover har Foreningen Feldballe Hallen etableret et stort nyt idrætsanlæg både via et stort frivilligt arbejde og økonomisk bidrag fra byens beboere.
Andelsforeningen Friland spiller ligeledes en betydelig rolle for fællesskabet i forhold til bæredygtige løsninger på energi- og miljøområdet samt i forhold til lokale fødevarer.
Med prisen som Årets Landsby 2016 følger en check på 150.000 kroner. Prisen uddeles af Region Midtjylland.

The small village Feldballe has been rewarded “Village of 2016”.
It is a series of initiatives from citizens and associations which have put the village Feldballe on the map.
Citizens have, among other things created a private school after the closure of the town's elementary school. In addition a new grand sports facility has been established via voluntary work and financial contributions from the residents.
The cooperative “Friland” also plays an important role for the community in relation to sustainable solutions to energy and the environment and to local food.
The village price in 2016 following a check of 150,000 Danish kroner. (approx. 16.000 GBP).
Village prize is awarded by the government.
