Update (August 2023): The Bay Trail has been under construction for over 3 years. Most of the trail through Foster City is now open, but the trail from the bridge up to Coyote Point is not yet open again. Hopefully soon!
This new park puts you right on the SF Bay and next to the San Mateo Bridge. All new facilities including picnic tables, benches and restrooms. Windy? Yes, of course on most days! It is also directly under the final approach path to SFO, so if you are an aviation fan, this is a good place to watch them come in on final. If it is a really clear morning and you are motivated, head out before dawn for nice views of the sunrise across the bay.
This is also a good place to park and take off on your bike or just walking. If you head northwest (under the bridge) you can travel all the way to Coyote Point and beyond (even to a nice small park that looks out over the SFO runways). Head the other direction on the path and you will go through Redwood Shores and to San Carlos Airport.
The cache is a camo and contains a logbook, but no pen or pencil and no room for tradeables. Please put the cache back carefully so others can find. Thanks.
