Geocache Description:

One of several caches that can be located on a lovely walk around Hambledon peninsula part of Rutland Water.

Roadside parking can be found in Upper Hambledon, or at the end of the road N52 39.055 W000 38.454


Rutland Water is Anglian Water's drinking water reservoir in the county of Rutland, England, to the east of the county town, Oakham. It was known as Empingham Reservoir during its construction and until its official opening in 1976.

The cache accessable from the cycle path which we have done with the mobility scooter. However as there are steep hills and some puddly/muddy sections a tramper type mobility scooter may be best. If doing this cache from a mobility scooter assistance may be needed to reach the cache.
 
The container is custom made. The cache is not hidden inside the post.

Please be gentle when removing the log book. Please seal both bags fully and replace cache with the opening end of the bag facing down to avoid water ingress
