Geocache Description:

But which Ben?  This is #14 in my Old Street Names In Stone series.  Sometimes, when they change a street name, changing the signs doesn't obliterate ALL traces of the old name. After locating this cache, travel to the southwest corner of Curtner and Union Avenues and examine the north-facing curb by the traffic light to see the old name of Curtner Ave, which was the name of the owner of the land at the northwest corner of present day Curtner and Bascom.  This name applied to the stretch from here to Highway 17 (and, before 17 was built, through to what is now Old Camden Ave), before they connected it to the rest of Curtner. The on-ramp to 17 N used to be just west of McGlincey, where the Public Storage place is.  No trace seems to exist, but according to an old map, Union Avenue used to be called Ware Road, after the landowner on the east side of the road. This cache contains a log sheet only, bring a writing implement.
