This cache is part of the TCAatSC series. This cache is located on the Yellow Trail. The Yellow Trail runs parallel between the paved Panhandle Trail connector and the Purple Trail (Father Bill’s Trail) and is about 1.5 miles long. The trail completes a semi-loop. You are looking for a small round lock and lock container. I suggest that you park your car at the old park office, and follow the paved trail down to where the Yellow and Purple Trails begin to start your adventure on this trail. This is the closest parking for the Yellow Trail series.
As you hike through Settler’s Cabin, you will traverse many different areas. You will travel through meadows, dense forests, open trails, cross-streams, climb and descent several hills, and no doubt get muddy depending on how the weather has been lately. Some of the caches are located right along the trail, while others are ways back and will require a bit of bushwhacking. All caches have been placed in a way that they should be enjoyable and should be able to be found.
Please note that Settler’s Cabin is open from 8 AM to Dusk daily. This means ABSOLUTELY no night caching! Please abide to this rule so there are no problems with county police and the parks office. All caches have been approved by the county park system, so they know these caches are here. Be mindful of your surroundings, as muggles will be scene on the trails.
