I-70 Highway Cleanup near Rabbit Valley with Colorado Canyons Association

Colorado Canyons Association has adopted 2 miles of I-70 near Rabbit Valley.  This will be the first annual Spring Highway cleanup/CITO event with Colorado Canyons volunteers and the geocaching community. This will be a wonderful way to combine resources and support for an organization that helps to maintain the National Conservation areas that we love to geocache and recreate in on a regular basis. This event will be done with support from CDOT.

Time: 8 A.M.-9:30 A.M.

Meeting spot: the first parking lot on the South side of the Rabbit Valley exit for a safety talk, chatting, coffee and bagels.

Gear to Bring: Gloves, weather appropriate gear, drinking water, garbage grabbers if they have them, sack lunch.  

CCA/DOT supplies:  Orange Safety Vests, Orange Garbage Bags, and garbage grabbers.  

The geoching portion of this event will involve cleanup of the north (Trail Through Time) and south parking areas. For young children this will be an opportunity to stay off the Highway and cleanup in the parking lot areas at the Trail Through Time or in the parking lot  areas on the South side of the highway. If any geocachers would like to participate in the highway cleanup that will be optional. The Colorado Canyons Association Highway cleanup is from 8-11 AM and all are welcome.
